US Millennial Customers Prefer Gambling Online than in Landbased Casinos

With the US Supreme Court ruling in favor of the state of New Jersey in the latter’s sports betting case and by thus clearing the way for legalizing sports betting nation-wide, it is now up to each of the states to make a decision whether to add this form of gambling to market or not. Considering the fact that the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992 (PASPA) is to be annulled under the recently-announced ruling, separate states would also have to decide whether to offer sports betting services as a retail option, as an online option, or both.

Analysts have already started evaluating the possible revenue that could be generated by the addition of sports betting. However, sports betting is not the only form of gambling which deserves analysts attention. The US gambling market in general has always been a prosperous one, but in the end, it has always been customers who choose which form of gambling they prefer.

According to a recent data about gambling in general provided by YouGov Profiles, US customers in the age range from 18 to 34 are more inclined to agree that online gambling should be legalized nation-wide. About 50% of the survey participants aged 18-34 back the legalization of online gambling, while the ones who disagree represent less than 30% of the ones who took part in the survey.
