Poker Tournaments Starting July 16-22

This year’s edition of the WSOP is just days away from its end after more than a month of thrilling poker action at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. However, there are a number of exciting events slated to kick off next week in different popular poker destinations around the world.

For those who do not feel tired from playing in numerous WSOP tournaments and for those who could not make it to Las Vegas on time for the series but are desperate to play some tournament poker, Casino News Daily has prepared a list of upcoming major tournaments. Here is more about these and where and when they are slated to take place.

PokerStars Festival Lille

The beautiful city of Lille is set to welcome the PokerStars Festival brand on July 16 for a week full of poker thrill. The festival’s schedule includes 15 different tournaments, with buy-ins for those starting from €120 and going all the up to €2,200.

No-Limit Hold’em events dominate the schedule of the upcoming poker festival, but there will also be a €330 Pot-Limit Omaha event for fans of that particular game. It is scheduled for Thursday, July 19.

Thursday will also see the start of the €1,100 Main Event. The tournament will feature three starting flights played over two days and two more days of action. A €2,200 buy-in High Roller is slated to begin on July 21. The tournament will be completed over two days.

WPT Gardens Poker Festival

Action within the first WPT festival of the popular poker series’ Season XVII has already kicked off at The Gardens Casino in Hawaiian Gardens, California with satellites for the upcoming tournaments and with a $175 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000.

The $5,000 Main Event is scheduled for July 21-26. To add more thrill at the tables, the WPT has announced that the tournament will feature an action clock. Aside from the first-place cash, which is yet to be determined, participants will also contend for the champion’s trophy and an SLC Roadster.

Poker action at the host casino will also include a $25,000 buy-in high roller tournament. The event will take place on July 24-25. It will too feature an action clock.

HPT – Kansas City

Ameristar Kansas City in Kansas City, Missori will play host to the next Heartland Poker Tour festival. The popular poker series has awarded more than $3.5 million in prize money at that particular venue and has promised to add more to the total in just a couple of days.

The festival kicks off July 19 and will run through July 30. Its schedule includes 12 different tournaments and satellites offering seats into those. Buy-ins for the tournament will be starting from just under $90.

The Main Event is slated to start on July 27 with the first of two starting flights. There will be two more days of play. The final day of the tournament will thus be on July 30, when its official final table will be played. Interested players will have to pay a buy-in fee of $1,650, unless they secure a seat into the event through one of the satellites.

BSOP – Sao Paulo

The BSOP series is set to arrive at Sheraton Sao Paulo on July 19 for the latest of its exciting festivals. The event will run through July 24 and is expected to attract some of Brazil’s and the region’s most popular poker pros as well as poker enthusiasts.

The festival’s schedule features 21 events, with buy-ins for those starting from R$460. A three-day R$7,000 No-Limit Hold’em will be the most expensive tournament players would be able to enter as part of BSOP poker action at the host venue.

The highlight tournament – the R$2,600 Main Event – will begin on July 20 with the first of three starting flights. The event will run through July 24 when the final table will be played.
